CDC recommends that certain individuals should receive an additional dose of mRNA COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Who is eligible for the booster?

• People who are moderate to severely immunocompromised (28 days after the 2nd dose)
• People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings (Pfizer Only: 6 Months after the 2nd dose)
• People aged 18–64 years with underlying medical conditions (Pfizer Only: 6 Months after the 2nd dose)
• People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting: e.g. Healthcare Professionals, Teachers, Frontline Workers. (Pfizer Only: 6 Months after the 2nd dose)
